Greetings!
What a wonderful day it is to be a child of God.

General Conference yesterday was enlightening and simply marvelous. I know that President Monson is the living Prophet of God on the earth today and that if we follow his counsel along with the counsel of the apostles and other auxiliary leaders we will never fail.

The work here in Mesa is going oh so well. We have a baptism on the 29th and with faith and some hard work we will have 2 more this month. We have been trying to find more people to teach through members which can often be the hardest thing to do.

Funny story: a little girl that we are teaching gave us a surprise for Easter. She sat by us during church and then handed us a bag of Easter eggs in plastic Easter grass. After sacrament meeting her parents came up to us and said "we have no idea what that gift is so just know it's not fancy or anything". We said "oh no worries" just grateful to have been given a gift...and just then Jayden came up and said "hey Sister Zimmerman, I put a brownie in that one". She reached into the bag and pulled out a plastic egg, opened it behold a mushy warm brownie that was stuffed tightly in the plastic egg by her little 9 year old hands. It turns out she had shoved brownies in every one of the Easter eggs! Ha ha ha, how cute. I will never forget that.

Funny fact: Heather's (our recent convert) daughter LillyAnn has trouble saying some sounds so she calls me sister "ENDERMAN" or sister "CINNAMON" ... I love it! Kids are so great!

Here are some scriptures that just sounded so beautiful to me-
{Some BEAUTIFUL words in the scriptures}
2 Nephi 30:6--
"They shall know that it is a blessing unto them from the hand of God; and their scales of darkness shall begin to fall from their eyes."

2 Nephi 27:3--
"even as unto a hungry man which dreameth, and behold he eateth but he awaketh and his soul is empty; or like unto a thirsty man which dreameth, and behold he drinketh but he awaketh and behold he is faint, and his soul hath appetite"

2 Nephi 17:2--
"And his heart was moved, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the wood are moved with the wind."

2 Nephi 9:45--
"turn away from your sins; shake off the chains of him that would bind you fast; come unto that God who is the rock of your salvation."

My prayers are with you all!

Here is a quote about love:
"True love is a reflection of Christ’s love. You can hear it. You can see it. You can feel it. But never alone." - Thomas S. Monson

Challenge: show LOVE to someone who is alone this week. Look for the outcast and be their friend. No amount of kindness is ever unnoticed by God.

With Love,
Sister Zimmerman
