It has been another wonderful week in the service of the Lord! Lance had his baptismal interview which was just dandy! He did well! Honestly it has been a bit challenging finding new investigators and making sure to accomplish all the other details that are part of missionary work, but all is well! We're in the Lord's hands! We had another Member Missionary Fireside that we prepared musical selections for. The group sang one of my favorite songs "My Shepherd Will Supply My Need" and it sounded wonderful! I'm in charge of the missionary choir performance on Christmas night at the Mesa Arizona Temple Christmas Lights. That has been stressful to set up but we'll have our first practice today and it will be wonderful, I'm sure of it! Here are some thoughts from this week!

This week a woman shared her testimony of an experience she had when she made a mistake and felt that she couldn't forgive herself for what she had done. It had been several weeks and she was still beating herself up for something she had done wrong that had effected others, and she felt that she couldn't be forgiven. She said:
"In my mind I thought "well someone has to pay for what has been done... for what I've done... and then the spirit whispered to my mind "someone already did"
I know that that is true. Because Christ suffered for us, we do not need to suffer if we repent and let Christ take our burdens.
2 Nephi 9:21
And he cometh into the world that he may save all men if they will hearken unto his voice; for behold, he suffereth the pains of all men, yea, the pains of every living creature, both men, women, and children, who belong to the family of Adam.
D&C 45:3
Listen to him who is the advocate with the Father, who is pleading your cause before him
This woman closed her testimony by saying: "Through Jesus Christ things don't have to stay broken." How fast can you allow Christ to heal your mind and your heart?"

Another woman shared her testimony of a time when a friend asked her to come and help her somehow cut 4 wooden planks flush with the concrete. She called around and finally found someone who knew what tool she needed to use which was some contraption called a "Saws-all". The person who lent her the tool didn't have time to help so was on her own. She said "I have never used a "Saws-all" before and here we were... 2 house Mom's trying to use a "Saws-all" to cut these wooden planks. But as I tried to figure things out a scripture came to my mind which says, "I can do all things through Christ"... as weird as this sounds, Christ can even help you use a "Saws-all" to solve your problems. He knows all things and will help us find a way through any dark night or any sticky situation if we come unto Him"
Ain't that the truth! I love this story!

I know there may be some of you reading this E-mail who feel a little weak today or like they are just not cut out for the challenges God has given them... well here's a quote for you!
"If you're still feeling inadequate then take comfort in the scriptural promise that the gospel will be proclaimed by the weak and simple. If you're feeling a little weak and a little simple, know that so have the greatest of all who have gone before you. God hears your prayers and he will reward you for your humble effort. He always does, and he always will." - Jeffrey R. Holland (teaching in the Saviors way- worldwide broadcast)
